隨疫情趨緩，台灣邊境解封，從國外入境台灣的旅客最近增加不少。昨天中午跟在大陸工作，因疫情關係已有多時未返家的家人相聚，特別開心，然而餐後告別時，心中卻有過去從未有的難捨滋味...。「世間之念，唯情難忘；世間之事，唯離斷腸。」短暫的狂歡之後，便是一段漫長的悵然。

 

重團聚、怨別離，是中華民族的傳統心理。千百年來，故國鄉土之思、骨肉親人之念、摯友離別之感牽動了很多人的心弦，難怪「離別」一直是我國古典詩歌中歌詠的重要內容。

 

返家後取下書架上鍾愛的《The Invisible String》英文繪本，再度品讀一番，果真稍稍緩解剛剛那種分離的不適感。

《The Invisible String》早在2000年就出版，作者Patrice Karst提及當時只是為了安慰剛上幼兒園，每天哭得驚天動地的兒子才編造這個故事。

沒想到這本分離焦慮主題的童書，因為將「愛」具體陳述，緩解了分離焦慮、孤獨和失落的情緒，出版後撫慰了無數的讀者，得到廣大的迴響，由於各種年齡層適讀，還成了暢銷書。而手上2018年出版的這個版本，是畫者Joanne Lew-Vriethoff以舒緩的水彩畫，簡單的線條突出人物的面部表情和感覺，俏皮的卡通畫風將整本書改頭換面，重新現身。

 

故事內容基本上是講述一條線，一條有魔力且不可見的線，它能將我們跟我們所愛的人連結起來。

 

故事一開始，一對熟睡的雙胞胎在雷雨中嚇醒，跑去跟媽媽求助。雙胞胎堅持不返回房間睡覺，媽媽說：「不要怕，我們隨時都在一起啊!」

她解釋說，小時候，母親告訴她，家人間有一條隱形線牽連著，只要心中有愛，隱形線就會永遠存在，還教雙胞胎如何找到這一條隱形線。

孩子: 「我沒看到線。」

媽媽: 「不需要一定要看得見隱形線。彼此相愛的人會由一條特別用愛製成的線連接起來。」

孩子: 「但是，如果看不到，你怎麼知道它在那裡？」

媽媽: 「即使眼睛看不到，可以用心去感受，就可知道自己始終與所愛的人連系在一起的。」

孩子: "How far can the string reach?"

媽媽: "Anywhere and everywhere. "

孩子:  "Can my string reach all the way to Uncle Brian in heaven?"

媽媽: " Yes, even there.”

 

 

 

 

形線甚至可抵達天庭，讓我們跟我們過世的親友連結在一起。

孩子: 「當你生我們的氣時，隱形線會消失嗎？」

媽媽:  「不會的。愛會戰勝憤怒，只要心中有愛，隱形線將永遠在那裡。」

 

最後兩個孩子安心的回自己的房間睡覺，夢中果真見到他們擁有的隱形線，以及朋友間擁有的隱形線，全世界每個人都被隱形線連接起來了。

對於感到孤獨、害怕、焦慮、擔心等的孩子而言，《The Invisible String》可以協助他們應對從日常事務如遇到地震颱風到如親友死亡的不安。
